 In 1998 the west indies cricket academy was created . kohli played for delhi in ranji trophy ,then he came into spotlight in a match against karnataka on the death of his father .he also scored 90 runs in that match ands the team captain Mithun Manhas ,the team captain said it was a crucial innings by virat.

Then in early 2008 Kohli captained the U-19 indain team in the world cup, he played a good innings as batting at nmber 4 he scored 235 runs in six matches at an average of 47 and including a century against west indies . he was spotted for his changes in the bowling during the tournament.
His mother noted virat was changing a bit . Kohli started hating his studies and he totally dedicated his life to cricket . he was the key player for u-19 india ,in the final against South africa he scored a ton and they won by 17 runs. kohli was the highest run scorer of the tournament as he scored 395 of 7 matches , 2 tons and 2 fifties . Later he was selected for the Indian team . he was declared as the best in the history of cricket . In a press meet Sachin Tendulkar said the only person who has the abilities to reach my record is Virat . Though he was hated for his aggressive behavior he is still a better batsmen player for the indian team........
